Foster City Summer Days 2026

Foster City's outdoor summer celebration returns on Aug. 14-16, 2026. Located at Foster City's beautiful Leo J Ryan Park on the water. Featuring 90+ retail vendors, food trucks and food booths, desserts & specialty drinks, carnival rides & games, live music, a car show, a rubber ducky scavenger hunt, beer & wine booths, a kitten lounge by Mini Cat Town, floral vase painting workshop and lots & lots of great summertime community vibes. Free admission for attendees. All ages. Dog friendly (must be leashed at all times).

Parking

Temporary Street and Parking Lot Closures: Due to the construction of the new Community Center, street closure timeline may be adjusted. Please continue to check back for updates.

  • Shell Boulevard (between East Hillsdale Boulevard and Bounty Drive) closed to through traffic from 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 14 until 5:00 AM on Monday, August 18.

  • Balclutha Drive (between the round-about on the PJCC campus and Shell Boulevard) closed to through traffic from 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 14 until 5:00 AM on Monday, August 18.

  • Shell Boulevard exit from South Service Road of the PJCC campus will be closed from 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 14 until 5:00 AM on Monday, August 18.

  • Shell Boulevard exit from Civic Center Drive will be closed from 9:00 AM on Thursday, August 14 until 5:00 AM on Monday, August 18.

Kitten Lounge by Mini Cat Town

Reserve your time slot in advance (walk-ins also available)

$15 per person

Stop by the Mini Cat Town Adoption Lounge and play with some kittens. One $15 ticket will secure 15 mins of kitten playtime at your designated time slot! 

There will be about 30 adoptable kittens on site looking for pets and cuddles!

Your order confirmation is your ticket entry. Tickets will not be shipped out. Tickets are nonrefundable! Any child under 12 must enter with an adult (two tickets will be required in this case).

All visitors will be required to wear shoe covers and sign our liability waiver.

Mini Cat Town is a nonprofit 501(c)-3. All donations are welcomed and go back into saving more kittens. Since 2019, Mini Cat Town has rescued and adopted out over 2,000 kittens. Floral Vase Painting by Izty Bitzy Art Shop

$10 per person

Join us for a hands-on ceramic painting workshop hosted in collaboration with SJMADE and the City of Foster City. Whether you're new to painting or a long-time creative, this workshop is perfect to personalize a ceramic pot or vase with your own unique flair.

Each ticket includes one ceramic vase or pot of your choosing and all painting supplies. Throughout the workshop, we'll have an artist available to provide step-by-step guidance and creative tips to help your vision come to life.

No prior painting experience required, just bring yourself and a creative spirit!

**Children 12 or under to be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times. Thank you!!

 

Buy Discounted Carnival Rides Tickets

This family friendly event will also feature carnival rides and games. Admission to the event is free, tickets are required for the rides. For children under 36" minimum height, they can ride on designated rides with an adult/chaperone. All riders must have a wristband. View a Sample Ride List.

Advanced discounted unlimited ride wristband tickets (one per day) are available for purchase online only from June 22 through August 13. After August 14, tickets can only be purchased onsite at the event. Individual ride tickets can be purchased at the event only ($1 = 1 Ride Credit). Rides are between 4-7 tickets each.

Why is San José Made doing an event in Foster City?

In 2019 and 2022–2024, we were part of the event through our sister company Moveable, curating and placing food trucks at the event on both Saturday and Sunday. We saw first-hand how big and how significant of a community event this is for the Foster City / San Mateo County area so we're truly excited to be able to curate and create the artist & maker market again for this year's Foster City Summer Days event. The initial plan was to temporarily take over the vendor marketplace duties while our friends at SF Etsy–the original curator of the artist & maker vendor marketplace in 2019–were on sabbatical from doing events. However, as their sabbatical from doing events continues through present day, we will continue to create the vendor marketplace at each Foster City Summer Days.
