Workshop (May 15): Learn How to Make Paper Quilling Earrings with Paper Sweetly's Nikitha Yelchuru
Paper quilling, also called paper filigree, is a papercraft that has been popular since the 15th century. This paper art has experienced a resurgence in popularity during the last couple of years.
You can find paper quilling incorporated into scrapbooking, cardmaking, monograms, paper flowers, jewelry, and even pieces of wall art. It is incredible how you can make complicated shapes and patterns from simple paper strips and glue!
In this 1.5 hr class, you will learn how to make some basic shapes of Quilling and DIY your very own pair of paper earrings. All the tools and materials will be provided.
The class will begin at 1 PM on Saturday, May 15. The class will take place on the outdoor parklet in front of the SJMADE Store (click here for directions) located at 60 N. San Pedro Street, San José, CA 95113.
