Apply to Vend - We Go As Far As We Grow 2022: An Art, Craft & Care Market in San José, CA

$225.00

We at San José Made are so excited to bring back We Go As Far As We Grow: An Art, Craft & Care Market for its second annual event in 2022. In partnership with San Jose Woman's Club, We Go As Far As We Grow will be a wonderful two-day event happening on Saturday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 11 from 11 AM to 4 PM each day. Featuring over 45 incredible creative small businesses, a thematically relevant original art show (details will be posted soon), a special photo session experience, a special door giveaway for 750 attendees each day and more.

In keeping with the theme, we want to create an experience that encourages attendees to reflect on GROWTH, be it their own individual growth or their community's growth.

For this event, we are looking for artists / makers / creative small businesses whose work can help support this type of reflection in the event's experience, be it work designed for self care, work that makes you think differently or more deeply about the world around you AND/OR work that inspires or energizes or motivates you to grow–however that may be. We're open to considering all types of ways you and your work encourage this reflection be it in the product itself, the process and/or the mission behind your work.

If you're unsure whether or not your work fits with the theme, we encourage you to apply and describe how your work engages the theme in the comments section of the vendor application.

How to Apply to Vend

  • Submit your application. To successfully submit your application, you must go through the online checkout process. Don't worry about the pick-up / delivery method, just choose whatever. Since this is a digital vendor application, whichever option you choose will not matter.
  • Jurying Period. Once you successfully submit your vendor application, our team will review your application for the date(s) you're applying to. Please keep in mind, we jury applications based on the materials with which you provide us as well as, if available, your booths / pop-ups at our previous events. If this is your first time applying for a SJMADE event and you don't yet have a website for your business, no worries! We encourage you to simply share about your business in the comments section of the website so we can learn a little more about you and your work. Additionally, we jury applications based on creating balance with the product types offered at each event, e.g. we want to avoid situations where we have, like, twenty soap makers or twenty candles makers at the same event.
  • Notification. We will be doing rolling admissions for this event. Within ten (10) business days of submitting your vendor application, you will receive an email notification from someone on our team.
  • If your application is accepted, you'll be all set and will receive further instructions to help prepare you for the event.
  • If your application is waitlisted you will have the option of withdrawing and receiving a refund OR remaining on the waitlist until July 16, 2022 (if a space opens for you we will notify you before or by this date).
  • If your application is rejected you will receive a refund of your fee.
  • Deadline to apply is July 16, 2022 at 11:59 PM PST or whenever we sell out of booth and table spaces.

Any questions? Email us at info@sanjosemade.com. Make sure the subject line is "We Go As Far As We Grow 2022 - Vendor Inquiry".

  • If you notify us at least forty-five (45) days from the event date, you will be eligible for a full refund on your fee.
  • If you notify us between forty-five (45) and thirty (30) days from the event date, you will be eligible for a 50% refund on your fee.

More About Our Event Partner: San Jose Woman's Club

San Jose Woman's Club provides an inclusive space to build friendship, community, and support for women and all who support them.

The Club, one of California's oldest women’s organizations, was established in 1894 as part of a nationwide social movement of women’s clubs that combined self-improvement with voluntary community work, addressing needs that interested women, such as kindergartens, libraries, and parks. Today, the San Jose Woman's club is stretching its mission and is working to build partnerships across the city. We are no longer a same-sex organization, but we continue to focus on women and community as a 501C3 non-profit organization.

Membership is open to all.
