Dried California Bay Laurel Leaves
30 leaves of delicious California bay laurel cooking spice. Naturally air dried with no preservatives, will keep for several years if stored in a cool, dark, dry place. The leaves can be steeped for tea or applied topically for a variety of ailments. Leaves can also be burned either fresh or dry to cleanse the energy and smell of a home. For cooking, one leaf, whether fresh or dried, will help season a pot of lentils, beans, soup, or any other savory delicacy you have in mind!
Please note that this is not the Greek laurel - Laurus nobilis, but the California bay laurel, which is a different species, although in the same family. While this plant - Umbellularia californica - has many of the same uses as the Greek laurel, the flavor may be slightly different.
