Meet the Brewers is one of our favorite San Jose events! Each year, Hermitage Brewing Company brings over 30+ amazing local craft breweries to its San Jose brewery. Over the course of the event, event-goers are given unlimited tasting access. It's any craft beer lover's dream! The event also hosts live music, an array of locally based food trucks and a large picnicking area, making it the type of an event attendees spend all day at.
Over the past few years, San Jose Made has curated a small set of maker booths at each Meet the Brewers event to great success for the participating makers. This year, we'll be doing the same, programming twelve 5'x10' booth spaces at the event. This is a really popular event. Last year drew over 1,500 attendees. While not a typical environment for retail-oriented events, we've observed a wide range of super encouraging, successful vendor experiences from jewelry makers to prepackaged food makers to bag and backpack makers. Plus, it's just a really fun event to vend at!

Vending at one of the SJMADE Maker Booths at Meet the Brewers costs $99 for a 5'x'10' booth space. Each application comes with a $5 non-refundable application fee. Tables and chairs are provided for you. A 10'x10' tent will be provided for you. Each 10'x10' tent will house two vendors. This is an outdoor event.
Free parking for one vendor vehicle (no In-and-Outs during the event). Load-in takes place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. You may bring your vehicle up to your booth space at this time. No vehicles will be allowed into the venue after 11:30 AM.
Last year and in years past, each vendor received two free lunch passes and two free beer tasting passes (total value: $80-$100). We are still in the process of confirming this with Hermitage Brewing but we're just mentioning it here as something to possibly expect.
Vendor Applications are now closed.

3. Fill out the application and click the button at the bottom of the application.
4. You'll be taken back to this page.
5. You must pay your booth fee(s) in order to successfully submit your application(s). To pay, find the Shopping Cart icon*.
*If you're applying via desktop or laptop, scroll up and click on the Shopping Cart icon in the top-right corner of the screen. If you're applying via mobile or tablet, a Shopping Cart icon should appear at the bottom of your screen.
6. After clicking the Shopping Cart icon, you'll be taken to a Checkout page. Follow the instructions from there until you have successfully submitted your payment. You'll receive a confirmation in your email if the payment has gone through successfully.
7. The deadline for applications is Jan. 28, 2017 at 11:59 PM PST. Acceptance, wait-listing or rejection emails (along with a refund of your booth fee) will be sent by Jan. 31., 2017 We will only be accepting 12 makers for this event so we expect the jurying of applications to be competitive. If you are not accepted, please do not let this deter you from applying to future events.
Examples of Booth Layouts
Since each vendor will be sharing a 10'x10' tent and space with another vendor, you will have to coordinate a booth layout with your fellow vendor prior to or at the event. Below are examples of how the booths can be arranged for optimal visibility and customer engagement.
If you need to withdraw from the event, your booth fee is fully refundable until Feb. 4, 2017 at 11:59 PM PST. For all refunds, processing times may apply. No refunds will be issued after that. We completely understand how last-minute occurrences can affect one's ability to participate in an event. However, we are always aiming to have full markets and any vendors dropping out at the last minute negatively affects our ability to find replacement vendors and consequently, negatively affects the quality of the market. No refunds will be issued due to weather-related issues.
