A dream pop-up shop for enthusiasts and lovers of high-quality handcrafted meaningfully made goods. Our first ever Pop-Up Shop at Whole Foods Market Fremont will feature two incredible Bay Area makers: Gooseberry Designs, the super talented maker of couture illustrated maps for illustrations, postcards, tea towels, tote bags and home decor, AND Becca Cuellar, the super talented maker of real-deal hand-forged intentionally made jewelry. A chance to meet the makers and see & shop their superb work.

This is a collaboration between San Jose Made (SJMADE) and Future Fremont, a forthcoming community-driven space located in downtown Fremont.

Apply for future Pop-Up Shops at Whole Foods Fremont

We don't have any finalized future dates beyond the Aug. 20 Pop-Up Shop so we don't have an open application per se, however we believe this will be super successful and super interesting so we'd love to gather interest from makers looking to participate in these pop-ups in general in the future, as believe Fremont to be a great place for makers to grow their brand and business. 

We cannot accept makers who make the following types of goods:

  • Greeting dards
  • Succulents or plants
  • Candles
  • Sage sticks
  • Perfumes
  • Essential oils
  • Cosmetics
  • Soap
  • Skincare
  • Food or drink

There are additional considerations we'll make and jurying we'll do in reviewing your application. We jury all applications in order to ensure quality, product diversity and value to our attendees.

If applicable. If you are a non-food/drink maker, you need a seller's permit in order to participate in the event. You can obtain a seller's permit here: https://www.boe.ca.gov/sutax/faqseller.htm.
If you DO NOT have a website or online shop, we will still need photos of your products and a description of your business in order to evaluate your application. Please send those photos and that description to info@sanjosemade.com with the subject line "SJMADE at FUTURE FREMONT BLOCK PARTY applicant - [your business name]".

Please note we are not able to fulfill every request however we welcome you letting us know if you have preferences, for example, if you would like to be near another maker(s)'s booth(s). Additionally, we also welcome you to use this space to further elaborate on your work and your story, especially if you feel like your website/online shop/social media don't do them justice.
If accepted, would it be OK for us to use a photo of your work from your website or Instagram to promote your presence at our event? *
If you have specific image(s) you would like for us to use, please send via email to info@sanjosemade.com after submitting your application. Use the subject line "SJMADE at Viva Calle SJ vendor photos - [your business name]". NOTE: We will not use an image with your logo or any text on it unless the logo or text is part of the product. However, in any usage, we will always attribute the image to you and include a link to your website or social media presence, depending on the platform.
Terms *
SAFETY Participant will act with the highest regard for the safety of the attendees and other participants of the Event, and will adhere to all laws, policies, rules, and regulations applicable to the goods and/or activities of Participant, including obtaining all licenses, permits, and approvals that may be required to enable Participant to conduct its activities at the Event and fulfill its obligations under this Agreement. LIABILITY San Jose Made will not be responsible for any loss or damage to Participant’s property, injury to, or death of the Participant (or its agents, employees, and/or personnel), or Participant sales. Participant expressly assumes all risks of loss, damage, liability, injury, or destruction resulting from any cause whatsoever, including but not limited to acts or omissions by Participant, and hereby releases and waives any claims against San Jose Made related to such loss, damage, liability, injury, and/or destruction. INSURANCE Participant represents that it has, or will have at the time of the Event, appropriate insurance to cover liability for the types of activities Participant will conduct at the Event. Participant covenants to be fully responsible for any of its liabilities, actions, or omissions, and will indemnify, defend, and hold San Jose Made (and its officers, employees, agents, vendors, affiliates, and representatives) harmless against any claims related to Participant’s liabilities, actions, or omissions.
